A properly installed scale weighs accurately for many years; a poorly chosen location or an inadequate foundation means constant malfunctions. That is why every installation begins with an on-site survey.
What do we check during the survey?
- Vehicle entry and exit direction, turning radius and risk of queue formation
- Ground bearing capacity, rainwater and drainage conditions
- Capacity and platform length according to the heaviest vehicle to be weighed
- Scale house, power and data line distances
Installation stages
- Preparation of the foundation project and technical support for the construction team
- Placement of the platform, installation of load cells and bearing elements
- Installation of the junction box, cable line and indicator
- Calibration, test weighings and setup of the scale software
- User training and handover report
Surface-mounted scales can be commissioned quickly as they require no excavation; pit-type scales offer an advantage in narrow areas as they do not require a ramp. We determine together which one suits you best after the survey.
