Scale Calibration

Accuracy checks with certified test weights on truck and platform scales, corner (eccentric) adjustment, and calibration with a formal report.

Scale Calibration

The real value of a scale is that you can trust the figure it shows. Over time, deviations in load cells, changes in how the platform sits, and aging of electronic components silently shift weighing results. A difference of a few kilograms becomes a serious loss across thousands of weighings a year.

What do we do in calibration?

  • Pre-check: Visual and electrical inspection of the platform, base, load cells, junction box and cables.
  • Zero and tare check: Verification of zero stability and the tare function on the empty platform.
  • Corner (eccentric) test: Applying the test load to each load cell point separately and balancing the corner differences.
  • Stepped loading: Recording readings at different load steps and checking linearity and repeatability.
  • Reporting: Delivery of the measurement results, deviations and adjustments made as a written report.

When is calibration needed?

Calibration should be carried out before the periodic legal inspection, after replacing a load cell or indicator, when the platform is moved or receives an impact, and when the same vehicle gives different results in different weighings. For heavily used scales we recommend at least one check per year.

We plan calibration work at the hours that will least affect your weighing traffic.
